Nichole A. Cavallaro is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in the state of New York. She knew in 2010 that she wanted to start a private practice through online therapy when she was still in graduate school. With TalkSpace (a well known platform for online therapy) just starting their own beginning in 2010, Nichole realized online treatment would not only be convenient for the upcoming social-friendly generation, but for individuals who could not leave their homes due to mental health and/or other concerns. Understanding the expectations as both a professional and a new parent, seeking outside appointments for virtually anything always came with a sense of guilt and stress.
Nichole decided to open her practice and conduct therapy sessions on a virtual HIPAA compliant platform as a means of convenience for those who were interested in seeking therapy in the comfort of their homes, on their lunch hour or on a weekend, without the hassle of taking time from work, traveling to an appointment and other stressors surrounding the realities of life. Her niches include PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), Anxiety and Depression, Substance Use Disorders/Addiction and Eating Disorders. Nichole has worked with the following populations within the past 13 years: Children and Adolescents, Military and Law Enforcement, Executives and other professionals, teachers, college students and persons with criminal justice backgrounds. Her training was completed at the Margaret E. Warner School of Education with the University of Rochester in their Mental Health Counseling Graduate program in 2010.
Nichole is often researching new methods and continuing education to enhance her current modality of treatment. When Nichole is not working, she enjoys writing free lance for Syracuse Woman Magazine each month. She also enjoys spending time with her family, writing for leisure, photography, cooking and is a pretty serious film fanatic.
